Cruisin' Sherwood Burnout
Monday, February 15, 2010 at 12:44PM Cruisin' Sherwood has a burnout contest every year. This 1958 Chevy did a pretty good job. Smart event promoters will put a big hurricane fan in front of the car to help keep the engine from quickly getting fried for lack of moving air, which isn't helped by the safety barrier in front of the car. At any rate, I would suggest taking the car for a drive immediately afterwards to blow off some of that heat soak.

Petersen Salem Auction Action
Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 4:54PM Just a glimpse of the action at the Petersen Collector Car Auction in Salem. Nice '36 Ford rolled off without selling, though potential buyers were still looking at it afterwards.
There were no tents to blow down, so the cars were safe.

Billetproof 2009 on Super 8 Film
Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 2:27PM This is brilliant. A video shot at Billetproof Northwest 2009. What's cool is it wasn't shot on digital. It was done with a an old movie camera and Super 8 film - ever hear of a French made camera called a Beaulieu 4008? Me neither. Has a great vintage film look, and Billetproof is the right kind of event for it.
